Master Cleanse, A 5 Day Experiment
I stumbled upon the master cleanse program while looking for more info on fasting, it appears to be a very popular one and is considered pretty solid. Most recently it was brought into the media’s attention again by Beyonce giving credit to the cleanse for their getting into shape.
Reports of other’s experiences were very encouraging to me and gave me an idea of what to expect. A few of the people who I spoke with about the master cleanser diet who had attempted it did not have the discipline to get by the first two or three days. As most fasts require not eating I have never been able to stick with it for more than a day. This lemon juice cleanse at least allows some nourishment (the drink used for cleansing which uses lemons is why it is also known as the lemonade diet.)
The premise is simple, but simple does not equal easy.. Though the guidelines are few, the will power necessary to succeed is another thing altogether. Luckily I came across a book that gives you lots of tips and tricks to make the cayenne pepper diet a much smaller challenge.
It is hyped a lot for the weight loss one can achieve but I’m not over-weight so that is not why I am interested in it. I did it for the toxin cleansing benefits. I’d been really run down lately and had read too many accounts of how mcuh better one can feel after fasting. That made me decide to give it one more chance.
From what I’ve been reading the typical amount of time spent on the master cleanse diet is ten days, although it is not uncommon for people to stay on the cleanse for longer periods of time. I had no intention of going longer than 5 days as a trial run to see how I reacted. Considering I never made it past 2 days before that was quite an accomplishment.
With the secrets book as my guide I was able to look up issues and find answers to questions that enabled me to stick with it. Just from reading it I had much more confidence in my chance of success. The extra confidence surely led to my success.
Luckily I went to see my doctor for a check-up recently so the timing was good. I strongly urge anyone interested in trying any kind of fast to speak with their doctor first to make sure everything is OK before diving in.
I fell so much better after the 5 day cleanse that I think I am going to go for the full ten days next time. One tip I can give you is to not jump right back into your old diet, especially if you have a bad McDonald’s habit. You will get excellent guidance on how best to handle that.)
